Is it a Bug or what is it?

Hello, when someone is farming monsters with a pole and they get hit by someone else, both immediately turn purple. As far as I know, if you don’t hit back you stay white. But with a pole you automatically turn purple, even if the attacker is standing far away. Can someone explain it? I’ve already observed this several times.

That will happen if you are using an AOE skill in autofarm.
